Level of Play

Ultimate is easy to learn and hard to perfect, so it's a great sport for beginners or for veteran athletes looking to master something different. Even if you've never thrown a disc before, you can learn to play Ultimate. You don't have to be a triathlete, but there will be a lot of running and some sprinting. If you aren't already in shape learning Ultimate might just inspire you to become so.

Spirit of the Game

The Eric Arons SF Rec. League is a beginner friendly league; therefore spirited play is critical. To reward and recognize spirited play we instituted the team spirit award. Each game captains rank the spirit of the opposing team. At the end of the season the results are collated to determine the team Spirit award. Players on the winning team get priority registration to the next season of league. If you would like to use a spirit award, please contact the league director when registration is announced. We cannot add people to teams after registration.

San Francisco Recreation and Parks department identifies this league as a public benefit and gives us a substantial discount on the fields. This allows us to keep the league fees low. In order to maintain our public benefit status, we must give SF residents priority at registration for spring, summer and fall leagues.
